Catamarans accommodate a maximum of 12 guests, with accommodation in a double cabin featuring an en suite bathroom and air-conditioning. Cruises include full board and follow a set 7 night itinerary visiting spectacular destinations including Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Prickly Pear Island, Guana Island, Sandy Cay and Cooper Island.

There is plenty of time for guests to relax and sunbathe on board the catamaran while it sails through crystal clear waters, plus opportunities to explore each island or take part in water sports. The catamaran will anchor in a sheltered location overnight to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep.

ITINERARY

Spend a week exploring the spectacular British Virgin Islands, sailing between Scrub Island, Jost Van Dyke, Norman Island, Peter Island, Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Guana Island with plenty of time to relax, snorkel in turquoise waters and experience some of the region’s best beach bars. Sail and stay on board an Ipanema 58, Lagoon 450 F Luxe or Lagoon 620.

Day One (Saturday): Scrub Island
Board the catamaran late afternoon and spend a relaxed evening in Scrub Island Marina where you have plenty of time to get acquainted with the boat’s features and to meet your fellow guests over dinner.

Day Two (Sunday): Jost Van Dyke
Set sail from Scrub Island Marina after breakfast and make for White Bay (12 Nm/2hours) for lunch and visit Soggy Dollar Bar. Late afternoon, head to Great Harbour (3Nm/30min) for dinner and option to go to Foxys Tamarind for evening cocktails.

Day Three (Monday): Norman Island
Depart Great Harbour after breakfast and head to Sandy Cay (3Nm/30 min), for snorkeling, beach and watersports, followed by lunch. A national park donated by the Rockefeller family to the BVI’s. Ask for the crew to dinghy you ashore and enjoy a beautiful short trail through the island. In the afternoon sail to Norman Island (12Nm/2hours) to visit the Treasure Point sea caves before proceeding to Benures Bay (3Nm/30min) for a quiet evening under the stars, a great spot for paddle boarding and watersports.

Day Four (Tuesday): Peter Island
Depart Benures Bay after breakfast and head to the Indians (2Nm/30min) where you can enjoy a snorkeling in crystal clear waters. After snorkeling is finished sail to Deadmans Bay (6Nm/1hour) on Peter Island for lunch/watersports/beach. Late afternoon go around to Peter Island Great Harbour for some festivities on the WillyT and dinner and/or evening at Cooper Island.

Day Five (Wednesday): Virgin Gorda
Head to the Baths marine park (10Nm/2hours) in the morning/lunch. Enjoy snorkeling in the most beautiful spot of the BVI or hike from the beach to Devil Bay through a maze of giant’s boulders. In the afternoon sail to North Gorda sound (10Nm/2hours) and anchor between Prickly Pear and Eustatia for snorkeling and a quiet evening.

Day Six (Thursday): Anegada
Set sail early for Anegada Setting Point (15Nm/3hours). Options to rent Jeeps and explore the island followed by an Anegada lobster dinner on shore is what the island is famous for. Throughout the trip enjoy the beautiful features of the Sunken Island (flamingos, salt ponds, breathtaking white sandy beaches) [excursion – additional fees may apply].

Day Seven (Friday): Guana Island
Sail from Anegada in the morning and head to Monkey Point (20Nm/4hours) on Guana island for snorkeling and lunch. It is described as one of the best snorkeling spot on the island with plenty of turtles and school of fishes very close to shore. Spend some time at beautiful White Bay beach and paddle boards/kayaks in the afternoon before a sail to Marina Cay (5Nm/1hour) shortly before sunset. Evening at marina cay

Day Eight (Saturday): Scrub Island
Morning sailing back to base (15min), Scrub Island Marina – Disembarkation at 9.00 am.

7 night ‘By The Cabin’ cruises around the British Virgin Islands run almost every week throughout the year, starting and ending in Scrub Island Marina on Saturdays.

Prices from £2,235 per person.

These prices include flights and transfers, 1 night in Antigua and 7 nights’ accommodation based on two sharing a double cabin, full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner), drinks at meals and local aperitifs, the services of 2 crew members, linen and towels, all fuel, and water sports on board.
Guests must pay a cash box on arrival of around US$140 per person.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Catamarans: Cruises around the British Virgin Islands are on board an Ipanema 58 (6 double cabins), Lagoon 620 (6 double cabins) or Sunreef 70 (5 double cabins).

Accommodation: Cabins are small but well equipped with a double bed, en suite shower room and air-conditioning.

Crew: The professional crew consists of a captain and a steward/cook who prepares a fantastic selection of meals.

Dining: A continental breakfast, two course light lunch and two course dinner are included and prepared each day by the crew using fresh produce where possible. Occasionally the crew will catch fresh fish from the side of the boat.

Amenities: Water sports equipment on board the catamaran includes snorkelling gear, a sea kayak and paddle board (on some catamarans only). Two sets of linens are included in all sailing holidays as well as bath towels and beach towels.

Important information: Luggage must be soft bags as rigid suitcases are too cumbersome.
