Travel Specialist Jess has recently returned from a trip to the Maldives. She visited two of our existing properties – Lily Beach Resort and Hideaway Beach Resort – as well as a new resort to be added to the Tropic Breeze portfolio. We are excited to introduce Baglioni Maldives, a luxury all inclusive resort boasting gourmet dining and a superb house reef.
Our friendly team would love to hear from you so please call us on 01752 880 880, or email [email protected] for further recommendations or to discuss your holiday plans.

Baglioni Maldives

The first stop on Jess’s Maldives trip was Baglioni Maldives. This luxury all inclusive resort is new to the Tropic Breeze portfolio, so Jess was keen to get a feel for the island and understand what sets Baglioni apart. The first thing that struck Jess was the natural beauty of the island. The beach villas open right out onto a stunning stretch of powdery white sand, offering plenty of privacy as well as direct ocean views. Jess was also very impressed with the exceptional service levels provided by the friendly staff.

The all inclusive plan at Baglioni Maldives offers a great range of dining options, with in villa dining included. Jess dined at the resort’s signature Italian restaurant and had a pizza from the unique Pizza Boat but her favourite place to dine was Yama, the resort’s Japanese restaurant. During her stay, she took part in a sushi making class and would highly recommend this to guests. She also spent plenty of time snorkelling the house reef, which goes all the way around the island and is easily accessible right from the beach.

Next Jess was off to Lily Beach Resort. A firm favourite amongst Tropic Breeze clients, Lily Beach is one of the original all inclusive resorts in the Maldives and offers a premium all inclusive plan with luxurious inclusions. Staying at Lily Beach was a great opportunity for Jess as it gave her the chance to experience the superb hospitality that keeps our clients coming back year after year. She was very impressed by the cuisine and particularly enjoyed Lily Maa, which offers an incredible range of dishes accompanied by a selection of around 80 wines.

After her tour of the island, Jess said she could definitely see the appeal of the Lagoon Villas, which have an entrance on the main island but feature a terrace that is set on stilts with direct access to the lagoon and reef. Jess spent a great deal of her time at Lily Beach snorkelling, and was very impressed by the house reef. She also took part in an Ocean Safari excursion, where she had the opportunity to swim with Manta Rays – a true bucket list experience!

The final stop on Jess’s Maldives trip was the exclusive Hideaway Beach Resort. Set in the remote Haa Alif Atoll, this resort is known for its incredible house reef and expansive villas, many of which come with a private pool. Jess loved exploring this spacious island with one of the complimentary bicycles, and noted how quiet and peaceful it was, despite the resort being busy at the time. The elegant villas at Hideaway offer plenty of privacy, so this is a great option for those looking for a secluded island retreat.

Jess very much enjoyed exploring the vibrant house reef at Hideaway Beach Resort, and the highlight for her was getting up close to a very cute little turtle. She also visited Utheemu Island, a local island which is the birthplace of the national Maldivian hero who led the overthrow of the Portuguese ruling. Jess gained a fascinating insight into Maldivian history and culture, and found it a great opportunity to see a more authentic side of the Maldives.

Thank you to Baglioni Maldives, Lily Beach Resort and Hideaway for hosting Jess!
